Promo materials for an events company, which can be used as templates to advertise future exhibitions. A modular composition
and inventive image treatment reflect their innovatory and challenging offering.
The exhibitions put on by Moving Ideas are future-facing and thoughtful - participants are expected to be people who challenge themselves, willing to disrupt norms and hungry for the new. The brief reflected this, requiring not only materials for its ecologically-aware event series New Cycles Of Life, but a memorable and adaptable system that could be used for future events.

The theme of 'Blueprint' suits environment- and culture-focused events that look towards new ways of living, and though the above poster shows this most obviously in its colour palette, the overarching modular grid layout is what gives the series its visual distinctiveness. It facilitates the type lockup ('Life', 'Open') whose gaps invite the viewer to complete the puzzle; it allows for cutaways from the supplied imagery; and gives room for 'floating' text blocks to appear as needed, while maintaining legibility. Other references to 90s zine culture (narrow margins, double exposures) give character while being easy to navigate.
